Engineering is one of the fascinating fields in India in the early '20s. But now, CP Gurnani, CEO and MD of Tech Mahindra, has said that 94% of engineering graduated were not fit for hire."The top 10 IT companies take only 6% of engineering graduates. what about the remaining 94 percent.There are no takers for their seats, and admissions are plunging in these colleges every year. Nearly 150 colleges are closed down voluntarily every year due to stricter AICTE rules.

whats happening in Indian engineering.?

Nearly 10 lakhs students appeared for the JEE main exam, but very few of them got selected and remaining enter into tier 2 and 3 colleges. our traditional education system is completely theoretical and outdated.The biggest myth that every engineer thought to get a high scores in the semesters attending many workshops and earning certificates impress the recruiter and get the job in the reputed organization. But it is a mirage. Your BE degree is just an entry-level of qualification.knowledge and skills which you have learned in the 4 years help you to crack the interviews and help to groom yourself. But the courses and skills that you have learned in the first year will be outdated when you are in the final year. Students need to be re-equipped to the latest technology and new innovation. Engineering is all about innovation and creation.The company looking for a multidisciplinary candidate who can handle any situations. Multidisciplinary courses like robotics, artificial intelligence, Machine learning grasps all the job opportunities in electrical, mechanical and IT branches(which three branches are the backbone of engineering). A machine can do a job more efficiently and accurately than humans. Due to the increase in supply and demand, the development of new technology forces companies to adapt to automation.In order to achieve global economic power, all countries are increasing their production by increasing automation. These developments in automation and AI already kills a million jobs and these trends going to reach its peak.
