Reliance Jio has announced a brand new concept, Called ‘Jio First Day First Show’ at last year, the service aims at offering Jio Fiber users the ability to watch new movies on the day of their release at the comfort of their homes. Multiplex owners believe the experience of watching a film on the big screen will always be an attraction that will bring film lovers to theatres and the ‘Jio First Day First Show’ will downfall. But most Indians do love the convenience of watching movies at their home. 
This has been greatly expanded in recent years due to the rise of Home theater systems for Audio and Big TV screens for a video. A lot of that is because of rising incomes and decreasing prices for these which has led to most households having really good A/V systems at home. There’s no doubt that the experience of watching at the big theater cannot be done at home. For the biggest, coolest movies of the year (Marvel/ DC/ Fast & Furious) people would still wanna go to the theater. But it is well convenient for most Bollywood dramas etc.
OTT(over-the-top) not going to feel a lot different in-home compared to theaters. So they might be in for a rough ride. A poor country like India, a large percentage of people are extremely price-conscious. We can see this in Mobile Phones too. It’s the nature of the economy. People are price sensitive here.
Hotstar downloaders arose 400 million in India and Netflix's 3000 cr investment in India are the other proofs for the beginning of the OTT(over-the-top) era. The fall of one sector will definitely boon other sectors.
The OTT revolution increases more job opportunities in the IT sector. The fall of one sector will definitely boon other sectors.OTT is a cloud streaming service, Cloud streaming services prevent illegal downloading and sharing of video and audio files. This leads to an increase in job openings for cloud engineers, cloud developers, cloud managers, etc. It leads to a huge increase in data and also a demand for Data Engineers. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) has become necessary for end-users, primarily online retailers and online streaming content providers.
In the future, there will be huge job openings in Reliance Jio and other OTT service providers.
